As has been hinted for a long time by Labour MPs, if they were to be in government middle earners would be taxed more. Well toady* was the day that Labour came clean and revealed to the world what it's new tax policy would be. Labour's Deputy Leader, Harriet Harman said that 'people on middle incomes should contribute more through their taxes'. Very revealing.
I'm sure Ed Miliband really loved Harperson's comments by spilling the beans. Her extra intervention in PMQs of "they should ... it's true" was amazingly helpful also. Labour squeezes the 'squeezed middle'. I hope Ed Miliband has had a really good start to his summer hols.
*Ok it was Yesterday on LBC but everyone was talking about a re-shuffle.
