So what have I been doing, well I've written an essay on the Peasant's Revolt. Interesting stuff, the first Communist Revolution (luckily suppressed). There is a good video on this by Python, Terry Jones. It's a good watch.
Hmm, until know, I have never known any Conservative say that the peasants deserved to be slaughtered for being annoyed at servitude, terrible conditions and miserable lives.
I'd really like to know you defense for this, as I am unaware of any Tory manifesto wanting to bring back the glorious Feudal system.
If you look at it from an economic perspective, the peasants were worse off by revolting as they lost any sort of welfare to their Lords. Actually their lives got worse after the revolt because the society went into collapse. Being a Peasant was actually ok really, except famines that did cause problems. But in another sense this end of feudalism was the start of a capitalist system showing through, with people being free to travel they could actually go start that business and make lots of money and improve there lives. On killing lots of peasants that's just how they did things back then, which is bloody but completely in keeping with the time. If you look at the politics of the UK today, it could be said Labour have brought back some sort of welfare based feudal system which the Tories want to destroy to free the people from the Labour oppressors.
