Donal Blaney: Margaret Thatcher Centre $1 Million Donation

Last night at the CWF Summer Reception, on the Terrace of the House of Commons, it was announced that the building of the Margaret Thatcher Centre had taken one giant step forward. Donal Blaney, CEO of Conservative Way Forward, CEO of the Margaret Thatcher Centre and YBF extraordinaire, was 'proud' to announce that in the last 24 hours a $1 million donation had been made towards the building of the Margaret Thatcher Centre. Mr Blaney also announced that the Centre had achieved charitable status. All in all a massive step forward.

The Margaret Thatcher Centre is being built by her #Sound followers in order to 'focus on Lady Thatcher’s remarkable life and achievements and will be a place where people of all ages from across Britain and around the world will be able to learn how Britain’s first female Prime Minister shaped the world in which we are living today.' The Margaret Thatcher Centre will follow the example of that Ronald Reagan Library and Ronald Reagan Ranch, a museum, an academy and testament to the great Ronald Reagan. Soon there will be such a building for Lady Thatcher too.

The real 'special relationship'.

The plan has been backed by many great Conservatives from across the World. Dave has said "I am delighted that young people will be able to come to the Thatcher Centre and learn about her achievements, and ensure her legacy lives on." Whilst Boris put in his two cents in by saying "I love museums, and am of course thrilled to read in The Sunday Telegraph that we are going to have a Thatcher foundation and museum in London, world capital of culture."

The project will cost around about £15 million and is well worth supporting.
