Nabil Najjar has decided to stand down as London CF Chairman after 'a very successfull term'. Nabil said on Facebook:
"I have decided to step down in order to pursue other interests. Over the last year, London CF has achieved great things - hosting a Christmas Party with the Mayor of London, attended by over 300 people, which raised thousands of pounds for the Party, putting on a very well attended Conference, holding a series of excellent events, including events at Conservative Party Conference 2013, supporting and encouraging over 70 CF-aged candidates who ran for Council and re-invigorating the base so that we are able to fight an effective campaign in 2015.

"I have recently started up a new business and a series of interesting projects within, and I feel I have to devote my full time and energy towards maximising its success. I now feel that the time is right to pass the reins on to the next person, giving him or her sufficient time to prepare before the real push for 2015 begins. A huge thank you needs to go out to the whole of my London CF team for all their effort over the last year - I cannot thank them enough, and wish them all the very best going forward."
Andreas Nicolaides, the London North-Central CF Chairman, has spoken exclusively to #ThingsElliottSays about Nabil. Andreas says "Nabil ensured London CF maintained its status as a proactive organisation leading at the heart of the CF movement. Under his leadership we had regular campaign days and fundraising events with high profile Conservatives, such as Boris Johnson. It is sad to see him step down but I am sure that his successor will continue to build upon our achievements across London and play a leading role in the run up to 2015.
He was poor anyway. All about the ego.
ReplyDeleteIt would make sense for one of Nabil’s Deputies, Key exec or Area Chairs to go for it: Maxwell Woodger, Will Hargreaves, Thomas Borwick, Richard Allen, Luke Springthorpe, Michael Bull, Charlotte Kude , Andreas Nicolaides , Ben Green , Louise Nathanson , Elizabeth Anderson. The race is wide open... as long as they are aged 16-30, live in London and a member of the Conservative Party!
ReplyDeleteI predict the new chairman will be someone aged 16-30, lives in London and a member of the Conservative Party...
